As I look out my window this morning, I am reminded that assuming stuff will go the way I expect it to can be risky. I live in the Denver area (for a few more weeks) and Colorado is known for random weather especially at this time of year.
Three days ago it was 85 degrees F and everyone was in shorts and t-shirts. This morning it’s 14 degrees and there is about a foot of snow on the ground. The little lesson: don’t put your winter boots away and don’t plant your spring flowers yet. The big lesson: well, maybe the little lesson is the big lesson.
Anyway it’s a great view out my window with the pine trees heavy with snow, the Rockies all white again and people with their winter coats on and their breath cold and misty as they marvel at the trickster we call Nature.
