Tips and ideas for living an authentic life

Sometimes I think it’s hard to see ourselves in a way that has us making rewarding choices – at least I know it is for me. I know that my perspective doesn’t always provide the wider view that would be most useful to me and others whom I am connected with. How inclusive are your perspectives?

If you’ve followed my blog or my work then you know that I think the Western World view, or what I call the Achievement model, tends to limit people from gaining that wider and more inclusive perspective and in doing that, it also limits personal transformation and the experience of a life that resonates or just feels right. In fact, the Achievement model tends to put people out of integrity, which in 10,000 Year Thinking terms means, a willingness to do things that don’t resonate with you in order to get an outcome or result predicted to be valuable at some future time.

I got an email this morning describing a situation that to me represents a willingness to do things that don’t resonate in order to gain something predicted to be valuable later. It is, in my opinion, a great example of the Achievement model in action. It is an example of how a logical case can be made for doing something that is out of integrity.

If you like you can consider it yourself and simply notice in your life your own awareness of what resonates with you and how you respond to that. I suggest you do this from a place of simple awareness rather than judgment.
